Terms of Service
Last updated: July 19, 2026
1. Who We Are
Get Freedom is a non-custodial digital asset payment gateway operated by Get Freedom, a division of Know Freedom Technologies, 30 N Gould St, Ste. N, Sheridan, WY 82801, USA ("Get Freedom," "we," "us"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Get Freedom website, the Freedom Buy Button, Freedom Checkout, and related APIs and services (together, the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service you agree to these Terms. Questions: support@getfreedom.io.
2. The Service Is Non-Custodial
Get Freedom provides software that lets merchants accept digital asset payments directly on-chain. When a customer pays through the Freedom Buy Button or Freedom Checkout widget, the payment is made from the customer's own wallet (for example, MetaMask) directly to the merchant's wallet on a supported blockchain network. Get Freedom never takes custody, possession, or control of any funds at any time. We are not a bank, money transmitter, exchange, wallet provider, or fiduciary.
3. Merchant Access Fee and KYC
Access to the Service as a merchant requires a one-time access fee of $299.00 USD. This fee covers mandatory Know Your Customer (KYC) verification of the merchant and onboarding to the Service. The access fee is non-refundable once KYC processing has begun.
All merchants using the Freedom Buy Button or Freedom Checkout widget must pass KYC verification before activating the Service. We may decline, suspend, or terminate access for any merchant who fails, refuses, or is unable to complete KYC, or whose verification raises legal, sanctions, or fraud concerns.
4. Service Fees
A per-transaction service fee is added on top of the merchant's stated price and paid by the customer at checkout. The merchant receives 100% of their stated price. The service fee is 1% of the transaction amount. Get Freedom reserves the right to adjust the service fee for a merchant based on the risk profile that merchant presents to Get Freedom, as determined during KYC verification and ongoing monitoring. Fee rates are disclosed at checkout and may change prospectively with notice.
5. Decentralized Finance — Assumption of Risk
The Service operates on public, decentralized blockchain networks (including Ethereum (SWITCH), Salvorias (SAV), and Gnodi (GNOD)). By using the Service, you acknowledge and accept that:
- Blockchain transactions are irreversible. There is no chargeback, reversal, or recovery mechanism.
- Payments sent to an incorrect or mistyped wallet address cannot be recovered.
- Network congestion, elevated gas fees, chain reorganizations, forks, or outages may delay or disrupt settlement.
- Digital asset values are volatile and may decline, including to zero.
- Wallet compromise, lost private keys, phishing, and smart-contract vulnerabilities are inherent risks of on-chain activity.
These risks are borne by the merchant and the merchant's customers, not by Get Freedom. Because Get Freedom is non-custodial and never holds funds, we have no ability to reverse, freeze, or recover any on-chain transaction.
6. No Financial Advice; No Guarantees
Nothing in the Service constitutes financial, investment, legal, or tax advice. We make no representation or guarantee regarding the value, liquidity, or future performance of any digital asset. Merchants are solely responsible for their own tax, legal, and regulatory compliance in their jurisdiction, including reporting and remitting any applicable taxes.
7. Prohibited Use
You may not use the Service:
- if you are a sanctioned person or located in, organized in, or resident of a sanctioned jurisdiction;
- to sell illegal goods or services, or goods or services that are illegal in the buyer's or seller's jurisdiction;
- for fraud, money laundering, terrorist financing, or any deceptive or unlawful purpose;
- in any way that violates applicable law or these Terms.
We may suspend or terminate access immediately for any prohibited use.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any blockchain network will function as intended.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Get Freedom and Know Freedom Technologies, and their officers, employees, and agents, shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or digital assets, arising out of or related to the Service — including losses caused by misdirected transactions, network failures, chain reorganizations, token volatility, wallet compromise, or smart-contract defects — even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total aggregate liability for all claims arising out of or relating to the Service shall not exceed the total fees you paid to Get Freedom in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Get Freedom and Know Freedom Technologies from any claims, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Service, your goods or services, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute shall be brought in the state or federal courts located in Wyoming.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
