Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 19, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Get Freedom, a division of Know Freedom Technologies, 30 N Gould St, Ste. N, Sheridan, WY 82801, USA ("we," "us"), collects, uses, and protects information in connection with the Get Freedom website, the Freedom Buy Button, Freedom Checkout, and related services (the "Service").
1. Information We Collect
- Account information: merchant account email address and business information (business name, address, and contact details).
- KYC documents: identity and business verification documents collected and processed through our KYC verification provider as part of mandatory merchant onboarding.
- Wallet addresses: merchant settlement wallet addresses and customer wallet addresses used in transactions.
- Transaction metadata: payment amounts, token types, blockchain networks, transaction hashes, timestamps, and payment status.
2. On-Chain Data Is Public
Get Freedom is a non-custodial gateway: payments occur directly on public blockchain networks. Wallet addresses, transaction amounts, and transaction hashes recorded on a blockchain are public by nature, permanent, and outside our control. We cannot modify, delete, or restrict access to data recorded on-chain.
3. How We Use Information
- To provide, operate, and support the Service.
- To perform mandatory KYC verification and sanctions screening of merchants.
- To detect and prevent fraud and prohibited use.
- To comply with legal, regulatory, and lawful-request obligations.
- To communicate with you about your account and the Service.
4. No Sale of Personal Data
We do not sell personal data. We share information only with service providers who help us operate the Service (such as our KYC verification provider), and where required by law.
5. Data Retention
We retain account and transaction information for as long as needed to provide the Service and meet our legal obligations. KYC records are retained for the periods required by applicable anti-money-laundering and record-keeping laws, even after an account is closed.
6. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect the information we hold. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Because we are non-custodial, we never hold your funds or your private keys.
7. Your Rights and Data Requests
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you, subject to our legal retention obligations (for example, KYC records we are required to keep). To make a data request, contact support@getfreedom.io.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the current version.
